Become a SkinChecker

The most important topic I wanted to discuss in the skincare special is checking your skin. Many people are concerned with their facial skin and have extended skincare routines. However not many people actually check their skin for suspicious looking spots and that's exactly what I want to talk about today.

La Roche-Posay started a campaign to create awareness for skin cancer. Research shows that "90% of the melanoma detected on time can be treated successfully" (source: La Roche-Posay). Therefore it is important that you check your own skin but also the skin of your loved ones regularly. To do this La Roche-Posay developed a skin checker for moles and other spots and a risk tests to help you determine the risk your are in based on your skin type and your lifestyle. They also organized protect your skin days together with hospitals and dermatologist. In the Netherlands this will be on the 12th of May. On this day specialist will give you advice and check your skin. It would mean the world to me if you would all start checking your own skin and the skin of loved ones, especially since early detection increases the risk of a successful treatment.

For more information check the la Roche-Posay site. Click here for the US site and here for the Dutch site.
